Ikiru Movie Poster
Movie poster contribution for Secret Movie Club's 35mm screening of Ikiru at the Vista Theater. Illustration and type choice inspiration derived from a key scene of the main character singing while swinging in the snow in his bittersweet love for living with purpose, even if his efforts are faded in view.
Process
Analog sketches by ink inspired by film scene, create grid with scanned draft, create vector illustration, create and tweak typography, and color correct in Photoshop. Submitted to Secret Movie Club for approval to print.
